New Home Inc. came up with the Smart Door Delivery Center to eliminate the worry about receiving your packages at home. We enclosed a nook between an exterior front door and the front entrance, and secured with with a smart lock. When you’re expecting a delivery, you provide the authorization code. The exterior is unlocked, the package is left inside the Smart Door Delivery Center, and the door relocks. Change the code as often as you want. There’s no access to your home’s interior and the package is not left outdoors.

A solution for the busy kitchen

The kitchen is the most trafficked area in the home. It’s where all the meals are made, and household conversations and planning takes place. Mail and homework collect on the countertop. Guests linger while you busy yourself trying to serve them something hospitable.

New Home Inc. took a two-fold approach to solving the problem of the busy kitchen.

First, we expanded the countertop on the center island. The elevated breakfast bar is gone (thank goodness!). And we extended the edge of the countertop to allow for seating on three sides, not just one or two. 

Next, we added another pantry to the layout. We call it the “messy kitchen”. This pantry is adjacent to your kitchen, separated by a pocket door. You can choose to add whatever features you want, like cabinets, countertop, sink, dishwasher, and mini-fridge. Homeowners love our messy kitchen because it means their kitchen is tidy. Store the small appliances and serving ware that you only use occasionally. And you can reduce the traffic in your kitchen by setting up a snack and coffee station in the messy kitchen. 

Flexible owner’s suite design

The owner’s suite in our floor plans is not just a one-size-fits-all element. We’ve designed the owner’s suite to be flexible. If you want to add a sitting area, we’ve already allowed for that in the design so it’s easy to do. We’ve also planned for an option to connect your bedroom with the adjacent laundry room. Plus, if you want two walk-in closets, no problem!

For the owner’s bathroom, New Home Inc. has three ways to configure your shower. You can expand the size of the shower, add a bench, and make this essential feature just right. 

More reliable network

More electronic devices and users means more demand on your network. The standard CAT5 ethernet cable is used in most homes. But not ours.

New Home Inc. wires our homes with only CAT6 cable. This upgraded standard feature delivers a more robust, reliable connection. Dead zones are no longer an issue.

Adaptable layout

Your next home should give you more than interior living space. You need to be able to configure that space to the way you live.
