Six Awards. One County. One Builder.

TL;DR — Quick Answers

What awards did New Home Inc. win at the 2026 Johnston County Parade of Homes? New Home Inc. won six total awards: a Gold for the Creedmoor floor plan at 56 Alex Farm Court, two Silver awards for the Cattail and Parkers Landing models, and three special feature awards for Best Owner's Suite, Best Technology, and Best Use of Outdoor Space.

Did the Gold-winning Creedmoor sell? Yes. The Creedmoor at 56 Alex Farm Court sold shortly after the award was announced. If you missed it, the Creedmoor floor plan is still available to build in the Cattail community starting from $794,700.

What is the Johnston County Parade of Homes? The Johnston County Parade of Homes is an annual self-guided tour hosted by the Johnston County Building Industry Association (JCBIA), showcasing the best in new construction across Johnston County. The 2026 event ran April 25–26 and May 2–3.

We are proud to share that New Home Inc. had one of our strongest Parade of Homes showings yet.

At the 2026 Johnston County Parade of Homes — hosted by the JCBIA across two weekends in late April and early May — our team brought home six total awards across three homes. That includes a Gold, two Silvers, and three special feature recognitions. For a personalized home builder competing alongside some of the most talented teams in Johnston County, this is a result we are incredibly proud of.

Here is a full breakdown of every award we earned.

Our Award-Winning Homes

Gold Award — The Creedmoor Floor Plan at 56 Alex Farm Court

This is the one. The Creedmoor floor plan at 56 Alex Farm Court earned Gold at the 2026 Johnston County Parade of Homes, and judges made the right call.

Update: This home sold shortly after the award was announced. The response from buyers was immediate, and 56 Alex Farm Court found its family fast. If you want to see why it won Gold before it was gone, keep reading. And if you want to build your own Creedmoor in the Cattail community, that door is still open.

Situated in the Cattail community in Zebulon, this home sits on a 0.76-acre lot with sweeping views of Cattail's 85-acre lake. The Creedmoor delivers 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 3,312 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space — anchored by a chef's kitchen with quartz countertops, an oversized island, and a hidden messy kitchen built for real-life entertaining. The open layout flows naturally to an outdoor living area that contributed directly to one of our special feature awards (more on that below).

Smart home features are woven throughout: smart lighting, a smart thermostat, smart lock, Ring doorbell, whole-home network panel, and CAT6 ethernet hardwired to every room. This is not a showpiece you admire from the doorway. It is a home you actually want to live in.

Silver Award — The Cattail Model at 92 Merritt Lake Ave

Our Cattail model home at 92 Merritt Lake Ave earned a well-deserved Silver. This home has welcomed hundreds of buyers through its doors as the community's showcase property, and the judges recognized the level of craft and attention to detail that has gone into every inch of it.

Located within the lakefront Cattail community, this model demonstrates the quality standard that guides everything we build. It also gave judges a close look at how NHI approaches community amenity design and integration, with the lake, pool, private docks, fire pits, and pergola all just steps away.

Silver Award — The Parkers Landing Model at 65 Sweetfern Lane

Our second Silver went to the Parkers Landing model at 65 Sweetfern Lane in Zebulon, priced at $699,700. This home represents what buyers get when they choose a community designed with lifestyle in mind. Parkers Landing has quickly become one of our most popular communities in the eastern Triangle, and this Silver validates the design and craftsmanship our team has put into every home there.

Three Special Feature Awards

On top of the placement awards, our homes were recognized in three competitive specialty categories. These recognitions go to standout design decisions that elevate the entire Parade of Homes experience.

Best Owner's Suite

An owner's suite should feel like a reward at the end of a long day. Ours did. The Creedmoor floor plan features a spa-inspired owner's suite anchored by a walk-in super shower with zero-entry access, a double vanity, and a large walk-in closet that does not feel like an afterthought. The sheer scale and finish level of the space stood apart from the field, and judges agreed. This is a feature we invest heavily in across every floor plan, and it is gratifying to have that recognized at a countywide level.

Best Technology

Every home New Home Inc. builds comes standard with a full smart home package — and the Gold-winning Creedmoor put that technology front and center. Ring doorbell, smart lighting, smart thermostat, smart locks, a whole-home network panel, and CAT6 ethernet throughout. We also rough-in for EV charging in every home. These are not add-ons. They are part of what we build by default because they reflect the way people live today.

Best Use of Outdoor Space

Johnston County has incredible natural surroundings, and we design our homes to take full advantage of them. The Cattail community, with its 85-acre lake, 2.5 miles of waterfrontage, private docks, fire pits, and resort-style pool, creates a backdrop that makes outdoor living a daily experience rather than a weekend event. The Creedmoor's outdoor living area was designed to extend the living space beyond the walls, with a covered patio that opens naturally from the great room and frames the lake view directly.

The Creedmoor Sold — But the Story Is Not Over

The Gold-winning Creedmoor at 56 Alex Farm Court found a buyer right after the award was announced. That is exactly how it tends to go with homes that earn this kind of recognition from the JCBIA.

If you missed this one, the Creedmoor is still available to build from scratch in Cattail, starting from $794,700. Four bedrooms. Four bathrooms. Chef's kitchen, smart home technology, and a lot backing up to the Cattail lake. You get to choose your homesite, your elevation, and your finishes.

Cattail itself offers 250-plus homesites, 50 of which sit directly on the lake, along with a community pool, private docks, walking and golf cart paths, and a pergola with 180-degree lake views. It is the kind of community you want to come home to every day.

Why Johnston County?

This level of recognition matters to us, in part, because of how much we believe in Johnston County as a place to build and live.

Johnston County is one of the fastest-growing areas in the greater Raleigh market, offering buyers more land, more home, and more community character for their dollar compared to inner-ring suburbs. Towns like Zebulon, Clayton, and Wendell continue to attract buyers who want easy access to Raleigh without the Raleigh price tag. That growth is driving real investment in infrastructure, schools, and community amenities across the county.

For buyers actively looking at new homes in Zebulon NC or new homes in Clayton NC, the 2026 Parade of Homes results offer a clear signal: the best new construction in Johnston County is right here.

Built by People Who Take It Personally

Six awards do not happen by accident.

They happen because of the people in our design studio choosing materials that hold up. The framing crews showing up early. The project managers who walk every home before a buyer does. The teams behind our smart home installs, our outdoor living builds, and our finish work.

We are a personalized home builder because we treat every home as if someone we know is going to live in it. Most of the time, someone who has trusted us with one of the biggest decisions of their life actually does.

These awards belong to every person on that team. We are proud of what we built. We are even prouder of how we built it.
